Behold the third piece of what is likely to be the best series of my gallery (ever?)

Inspired by a statue in a museum in my hometown * [link] * , made for an exposition of the photography club of my college on the theme "nude and erotism".

Model : your host
Redness : some fabric I use for covering a pouffe usually
Some troubles in the making : my cat who kept jumping on my knees

Possible controversy on the making : some will find the borders quite too big but I liked it
It sets an atmosphere, a cocoon of darkness which makes the colours and light shine even brighter.
And it closes like the shadows of a dim litted room.. or like the borders of a key hole... :)

I like how the light hit the skin here :)

This is an absolutely beautiful photograph and, I believe, the best of the series.

beautiful photograph, but the pose looks... uncomfortable. too bent over or something.

well this one is more ... tortured.. It's a posture for protection, or by fear .. this one is less for sensuality

One small thing I like better about this one than the second is that the tighter framing cuts out the edges of the background linen (a sheet over a window, or hanging on a wall?) Anyway, now that I see a photo without it, I do like that better - more professional-looking. And I really like the way the linens lie across the bottom of the frame, as well. It makes it less obvious you're sitting on a bed and seem more believable that you're actually in a harem.

On the other hand, IMO, the pose in #2 is still far out front as the winner so far.

:P .. duh, ahhh how strange can the opinion of teh maker and of teh public be different about her piece... mhh
the fabric was pun against the wall.... in teh previous two, i couldn't cut that close because it would have cut a part of the head or make it too tight.. so i used photoshop to cute and paste bits of the red up the edge to make it cover the entire space ^^
but hehe .. well, then .. i really wonder what' you'll say about the fourth one .. maybe you'won't like it at all ....

Sun hit the skin well but not the best pose; the stray albow requires a bit too much thought without enough explanation (why is it in that pose? is what is asked but there's no obvious answer, I mean). Also wish the head were more accounted for. the composition is good though.

arrghhh the elbow .... That is a thing that is hard to control when you make such self portraits : how it will look ! heh i have like 4 good pictures out of 50 to 100.. some of them just picturing me not being ready on time =P ... but still, not an excuse ..
the elbow, and the position, is like someone curling in the same time in a gentle way, maybe to put back her turban, or in a sensual way, but also keeping a protective sense, keeping her elbows tight to her sides to protect herself...It was this sense of in the same time comforting and proecting i had when taking this posture...
